Tobramycin (MYCINIDIN^®)

What is Mycinidin used for? 

Mycinidin is an eye antibiotic used for treatment of ocular infections like conjunctivitis, keratitis, keratoconjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, blepharitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, and acute meibomianitis. 

How much and how often should Mycinidin be used? 

The recommended dosage depends upon severity of condition. For mild-moderate infections: instill 1 to 2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4-6 hours. For severe infections: instill 2 drops hourly until improvement. Treatment should be reduced prior to discontinuation. 

What are possible side effects of Mycinidin? 

Side effects of Mycinidin includes irritation, burning, itching, swelling, stinging, and conjunctival erythema. 

What does Mycinidin contain? 

Mycinidin is tobramycin 3 mg/mL (0.3 % w/v), available in LDPE white opaque plastic droptainer in 5 mL (net content) in box of 1’s.
